How to enable Secure Boot on your Dell Latitude E7240

Access BIOS Setup:

• Restart your laptop.

• Press F2 repeatedly when the Dell logo appears to enter the BIOS setup.

Switch Boot Mode to UEFI:

• Navigate to General > Boot Sequence.

• Change the Boot List Option from Legacy to UEFI.

Note: Switching from Legacy to UEFI may render your current OS unbootable. Ensure you

have backups before proceeding.

Disable Legacy Option ROMs:

• Go to Advanced Boot Options.

• Uncheck Enable Legacy Option ROMs.

Enable Secure Boot:

• Navigate to Secure Boot.

• Set Secure Boot Enable to Enabled.

• Ensure that Secure Boot Mode is set to Standard.

Save and Exit:

• Press F10 to save changes and exit the BIOS.

• Your system will reboot with Secure Boot enabled.
